Why 2700K feels like home

Kelvin measures how warm or cool a light looks. A candle sits around 1900K, an old tungsten bulb around 2700K, and a cloudy afternoon around 6500K.
Your eyes expect warm light at night
After sunset, light outside shifts towards amber. Lamps at 2700K match that shift, which is why a room lit at 2700K reads as evening while a 4000K room reads as an office.
When to go warmer
For late evenings, dim to 30% and choose 2200K on lamps that support it. The Crane head and the Wick both do.
